There are so many benefits to your baby when you quit smoking while pregnant and this also applies to other people causing the mother to be a passive smoker. The safest way by far is to quit smoking using hypnosis
Cigarette smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals, including truly nasty things like cyanide, lead, and at least 60 cancer-causing compounds. When you smoke during pregnancy, that toxic brew gets into your bloodstream, your baby’s only source of oxygen and nutrients.
Nicotine and carbon monoxide are the two toxins that account for most complications in pregnancy because they reduce your baby’s supply of oxygen. So why would you want to use nicotine patches or gum to quit smoking – this often provides an even higher level of nicotine than your smoking does. And even adding yet another chemical like the tablets just adds to baby’s chemical brew.
Hypnosis is by far the best way to quit smoking while pregnant because there are no added chemicals and no added stress! Cold turkey and also nicotine itself adds to maternal and baby stress levels. Hypnosis and the relaxation CD that clients take home with them is deeply relaxing good for both mother and baby.
“Smoking cigarettes is probably the No. 1 cause of adverse outcomes for babies,” says Welch, who’s the chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. He’s seen the complications far too many times: babies born prematurely, babies born too small, babies who die before they can be born at all.
Here is a list of some of the complications:
♣ Smoking during pregnancy increases the risk of pregnancy complications.
♣ The cigarette smoke harms babies both before and after they are born.
♣ Smoking during pregnancy can cause tissue damage in the unborn baby, particularly in the lung and brain, and some studies even suggest a link an increase in deformities like cleft lip.
♣ Studies also suggest a higher likelihood of miscarriage. Carbon monoxide in tobacco smoke can keep the developing baby from getting enough oxygen and there are other chemicals that can harm unborn babies.
♣ Babies are more likely to be premature which is a leading cause of death, disability, and disease among newborns.
♣ One in every five babies born to mothers who smoke during pregnancy has low birth weight and this also applies to mothers who are exposed to secondhand smoke while pregnant. Babies born too small or too early are often not as healthy.
♣ Both babies whose mothers smoke while pregnant or are exposed to secondhand smoke after birth are more likely to die from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) than babies who are not exposed to cigarette smoke.
So why would you do this to your baby? If you are pregnant or wanting to have a family just book in now to quit the easy way with hypnosis.
