Why some smokers cling to their habit

Posted by admin - October 13, 2016 - Quit Smoking

Lots of smokers cling to their habit because of the underlying stress and anxiety in their lives. Quitting any long held habit is hard especially if it comforts a major problem

I deeply understand this and can help get rid of your underlying problem, then you can quit quite easily.

I grew up with PTSD from my earliest childhood and it became worse during 3 abusive marriages. My big habit was comfort eating and I put on a lot of weight.

I was always good at hiding it and outwardly performing well but my anxiety levels, lack of sleep, nightmares, those thoughts that constantly ran through my head, the knot in my stomach and even suicidal thoughts were finally expressed when I developed breast cancer and had a double mastectomy.

It was time to stop and reassess my life.

When I left school I wanted to do medicine but my father vetoed that idea… it was a waste of money for a daughter. I did science and majored in medical science, especially physiology and neurophysiology. I ended up teaching because it was the right hours and holidays for my kids when I became a single mother.

After I broke down with stress I went back to Uni. I spent 6 years doing research on the ecology of single celled marine algae using the microscopy skills from my first degree until my third husband dragged me out into the world of business.

Having cancer was a prompt to think. I was on my own and able to choose so went back to my early fascination with our brains and out minds. I started studying NLP and hypnosis, followed by clinical hypnotherapy.

Then I discovered The Richards Trauma Process (TRTP) which relieves, stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, PTSD and suicidal people gently and remarkably fast.

The thing is that stress, anxiety and trauma is all held in your body, not your brain and if you can’t fight the cause of your problem you end up fighting your own body and become ill. Your logical brain can’t fix this because you need to work with your unconscious mind for relief, which is why skilled hypnosis is so powerful.

The TRTP hypnosis allowed me to become truly calm, knowing the past was over, for the first time in my life.

I enrolled in the next course to study this because I want to be able to give other people the same gift of feeling calm that I now have.

It is a joy and an honour to be able to help and to see the wonderful smile and hear the words “I feel different” when clients open their eyes.

It is totally life changing when people return to calm and feel safe.

Getting rid of your underlying problems is life giving and allows you to quit harmful habits easily.
