You have the power to choose to change or to keep your habits. You have the power to make your own decisions. You have the power to choose to hold on to anger or you can choose to let it go.
Sometimes I hear people say “so and so made me do it” but that is rubbish. They chose to take an action because they thought that the consequences of doing that action were preferable to the consequences of saying no.
Some people continue with being ill because at some stage the secondary benefits of being ill, perhaps getting more attention, was helpful to them. And they go on with this choise years after their needs have changed.
Sometimes you may need help but what works is you choosing. As a hypnotherapist I help people to choose changes several times every day. The important thing is that THEY choose. I cannot make anyone do anything that they don’t want to do.
I had a very bad fall recently with a difficult compound fracture and I chose to keep working full time after one week off while I was in hospital having surgery. What I did was choose to get back to normal as soon as possible. I mention this because someone called recently to ask whether I was back at work yet. That answer is YES.
Sure, I can’t drive for 3 months, but I can and am continuing to help people to change habits, overcome addictions, lose weight and most importantly to pull the fuse out of traumas that caused massive long term stress and PTSD.
What is totally wonderful is seeing the changes in people as especially those who have suffered domestic or sexual abuse. Pulling the fuse out simply and safety with hypnosis is transforming.
