As we start our life, we soak up other people’s thoughts and beliefs. We even learn a lot before we are born.
Some religious groups have always said “Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man”.
BUT… you can choose to change!
The thing is that our mind controls
- your thoughts
- your body
- your life
And 90% of your mind is unconscious, mostly programmed by others as you grew up.
And it is the boss
So you need to sort out who controls your unconscious mind!
Stop and list the things or situations you have found difficult in your life. Now look for a pattern…
Does a similar problem or person keep happening?
Common patterns ones are feeling abandoned, or never being good enough, being a victim, having a great idea but not being able to follow it through.
You can change this pattern once you know it is there.
What is your pattern?
How often has the problem happened?
When did it start?
What else happened around the same time?
Some frequent examples are:-
I’m not ok, or
I’m always on edge.
I don’t matter is also very common and that attracts bullies and abusers
I want to lose weight but I must eat everything on my plate… think back to why and if you can’t fix it easily use a smaller plate. Until the new quantity becomes a habit
