We all see everything differently – which explains lots of disagreements of course. So how true is what you actually believe?
What is more important is what you believe helping you?
Many of my clients come to me with problems and issues that are made so much worse by what they believe and the way that they look at the situation.
You can choose to stop and become aware of what you think. Then decide whether some thoughts are really unhelpful to you right now. If that is the case, you can CHOOSE to look at the thought in a different way.
This choice makes the difference between how you lived your life in the past and what you want to change for now and the future.
A really useful thing to say each morning is “I choose to be happy today” and then remind yourself of this every time something comes up to change this state.
I am currently having some minor renovations done which have required me to move everything out of part of my house. I have been having thoughts about chaos and overwhelm so each time these appear, I stop and decide this is really exciting and aren’t I lucky. It will be wonderful when it is all finished. This is working for me… but my 2 cats are not convinced!
