Your unconscious mind controls 90 percent of what you think and do, but other people programmed most of this from your birth and through your childhood.
You continue this programming when you frequently repeat a thought or behaviour. That frequent repeat trains the neurones in your brain to build more connections and you make actual physical changes to your brain. Are they the changes you really want?
So, it is worth asking yourself you think about and whether all your long-term habits are helping you, harming or even killing you? It is worth stopping and taking the time to think about this. What thoughts and habits are you training now?
Many of your thoughts may be self-abusive and very different to what you would say to your best friend. We all tend to put ourselves down, usually unconsciously.
Much of this has been learned from older siblings, friends and parents from our earliest childhood.
I remember catching my grandchildren telling their younger siblings that they are stupid etc – so harmful because it can become a habit for the younger child to say this as self-abuse as they grow up.
People do not always value themselves properly, they may not realise that they matter in this world. Many families take each other and especially Mum for granted. You are a person who matters so it is very important that you take proper care of yourself and get rid of both harmful habits and also harmful thoughts.
It is surprising how many people do not really value themselves enough to take proper care of their habits like smoking, drinking, food choices and many other choices.
Quite a lot of overweight people are actually unconsciously insulating themselves from some problem that they have not understood enough to fix.
The thing is that your mind has the power to change your life, to heal you if this is needed and even to kill you if you do not feel that you really matter in this world.
