When we make mistakes, what matters is how we deal with it, and that is not always perfect.
The big thing is to admit it, apologise if possible then sort out how it happened so that you don’t make it again.
I have an admission today and an apology. A lovely lady called me around 10 days ago when I was really busy and asked me to call her today. I grabbed a pen and wrote down her name and the date but because she told me she gets my newsletter, I failed to take her phone number.
If you are reading this Sue, I apologise. Please contact me again so I can get back to you.
I remember some years ago when I was running a larger business with 19 staff, one of my employees was constantly feeling guilty about getting something wrong. He was such a hard worker, really going the extra steps to be helpful but yes, he made mistakes.
I told him that the person who never made a mistake never made anything and I won’t get upset so long as he only made each mistake once. That way we can learn.
I love watching a baby learning to walk. They step, then they fall, and this goes on for weeks until they finally take several steps unaided and bingo… they walk.
The big thing is always to keep trying. Keep the goal in mind and just keep going.
It has been difficult this year. There has been so much fear and negativity. It has impacted on all of us. Yes, me too. I really lost a bit of confidence with lockdowns and so many people endlessly telling me I am old and need to be careful.
I have been alive for a long time. I am not “old”. I keep fit, with an at home rowing machine, fit ball and straps in the back pergola that I use for stretching and strength. I go to a personal trainer every week and my 4-legged trainer insists on a daily walk. There is nothing quite like a dog.
And with age comes experience and wisdom which helps in the work I do as a hypnotherapist.
My clinic is now open for face to face hypnotherapy or you have the choice of using zoom. Plus, I have anxiety and weight loss programs online as well as face to face. Book for a free no obligation consult if you would like to learn more about these programs.
It is spring so let’s feel the weather brightening to help us get on with our lives. If you have problems, let’s fix them. I’m here to help so just call me.
My very kindest regards,
