The world has not gone mad, even though it feels like it.
The thing is that all the covid changes and loss of routine this year cause us to feel grief for the loss of our normal life.
Symptoms of grief include anger and disbelief both of which are so obvious in some of the crowds, on social media and all those conspiracy theories.
Anger is a secondary emotion which means there is another emotion in play. You need to challenge the anger to see what is behind it.
We do need to chill out, breathe slowly and begin to accept that this is happening, its not anyone’s fault and getting too emotional just harms our own health.
When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, less scary and we give ourselves permission to heal. If you need help. Please ask. I believe in keeping things calm, healing and releasing negative emotions and energy.
People talk a lot about “the science” and get upset because it varies. Of course, it varies, and it should. Scientists are trained to question, test, question more.
Good scientists are always questioning. When people talk about science is truth… it is one version only. Sometimes scientists are constrained by their funding and while understandable, it is morally wrong.
Things will settle down as we learn to live with a somewhat different version of normal and the sooner we are able to relax and accept this the happier and healthier we will be.
