We are living in strange times at present. Many of us are busy finding other ways to live our lives during lockdowns, others are getting frustrated and some are depressed.
Others are thinking about doing something but finding it hard to get started. There are so many people who are bored and eating too much instead of their usual activities.
So today I’m talking about procrastination. That mindset that stops us from getting started on things that we want to do, or perhaps just need to do. To some extent it affects all of us.
Around 18 months ago I helped a business owner who felt blocked in his business because his planned changes so often did not happen or were late getting started.
I identified a major unconscious belief he had ever since childhood that he was “never good enough”. Of course he procrastinated. He lacked the belief that he was good enough to follow up on his planning.
After we worked together and changed this his business grew, became much more profitable and he employed 2 more staff.
This thing is that we are not stuck with the unconscious beliefs that we learned while we grew up. We can change them
This is how I help people. They learn to identify and change those ideas and programs that control their habits and limit the way they live their life.
These ideas and programs are often the underlying cause of anxiety, they may have limited their career choices, affected their weight or so many other aspects of their life.
